4 wonderful ways to see the world

The world may seem like an erratic place at the moment, both environmentally and politically, but something that so many of us still love it travel! It’s such a great feeling to travel, to see new sights and to experience new cultures.

With so much to see and for most of us only four or five weeks’ holiday each year sometimes we need to get a little creative. Here are our top 4 wonderful ways to see the world.

1) Sailing

Having learnt to sail from an early age this really appeals to me. Sailing is exhilarating and a perfect way to experience parts of the world that are so often hard to reach. If luxury travel is something you crave, take a look at Oyster Yachts for the finest live aboard sailboats. One of the benefits of sailing as a mode of transport is that it has a low carbon footprint. So, if you want to do your bit for the environment and cut down the impact you have on the planet when you travel look no further.

2) Hiring a Campervan

The beauty of hiring a campervan from Cozy Campers is that not only do you get to drive around at your leisure, you also don’t need to worry about accommodation either! Travelling has its own unique expenses, especially when it comes to food and drink so looking at a campervan option can be great!

2) Driving

Driving can be a great way to get to know a place while you’re on holiday. Perhaps you want to combine your accommodation with your mode of transport and explore in a camper van.

I must admit that I harbour a dream of driving a camper van through Europe, eating and drinking my way through all the finest the country has to offer. This can be fairly budget friendly too, so long as the cost of petrol doesn’t continue to rise. There’s something fantastic about being in charge of where you go and when you want to go, rather than needing to rely on a timetable.

3) Interrailing

Another choice for those who are conscious of their environmental impact while travelling. Interrailing is an affordable and accessible option for all travellers no matter how experienced. If you’ve got plenty of time on your hands you can access the railway networks across 30 countries. A huge benefit of travelling by rail is that you can take in the sights as you travel.

4) Flying

Flying by plane or helicopter can be a great way to see the world. Whether you choose to take in major sights by air, thus avoiding crowds and affording a unique view, or you choose to explore areas off the beaten track this is a serious contender for the best mode of transport. Obviously flying allows us to cover huge distances in relatively short periods of time. At a time when many of us feel under pressure to make the most of every day’s annual leave this can be a good way to enable you to see the world.

I hope you found some of these tips useful? No matter what mode of transport you choose to use to explore, I’m sure you won’t regret it. The world really is our oyster and there is always somewhere new to discover! Do you know of anything else you think we should include too? Please do send a message with your suggestions….
