Remote Places in the UK You Must Visit

Visit These 5 UK Counties For The Best Natural Views

Living in the UK means you often forget how beautiful your surroundings are, particularly if you live in or close to a busy city. The fact remains you live on an island with loads of stunning countryside and coasts to explore. So, the next time you plan a caravan holiday or road trip, here are the best UK counties to roam through for ultimate natural views and scenery.

Cornwall

Cornwall is the southernmost part of the UK and forms the tip of the South West Peninsula. It’s an absolute must on any UK travel journey because it’s home the the beautiful blend of gorgeous coastlines and rugged countryside. The views across both the English Channel and Atlantic Ocean are wildly dramatic – and there are so many quaint villages to pass through and enjoy.

Lincolnshire

Situated to the East of Sheffield and Nottingham, Lincolnshire is another county with a beautiful coastline. It’s a camping-friendly county – and you’ll find great places to visit in a motorhome in Lincolnshire, including the seaside town of Skegness and multiple nature parks. There’s a very unique look to the landscape here, mainly thanks to the chalky nature of many rock formations. The result gives you dramatic cliffs with stunning views and loads of fascinating native wildlife species.

Dorset

You’ll find Dorset in southwest England, but not quite as far west or south as Cornwall. It’s a remarkably pretty place with iconic sights and attractions. There’s no beating around the bush with this one: you have to visit the legendary Jurassic Coast. It’s a stretch of coastline with loads of fossils and rock formations that have been around for millions of years. Plus, the county is home to Durdle Door – one of the most iconic and visually-appealing beach spots in the entire country.

Yorkshire

Yorkshire is possibly the most unique of the five counties on this list because it mainly offers grassy countryside. There is a coastline here, but Yorkshire’s countryside is one of the best around. Think endless fields of green and gold, loads of animals, and a proper feeling of being in touch with nature.

Pembrokeshire

It would be a shame not to shout out other parts of the UK, so we’ve put Pembrokeshire on this list. The Welsh county is the most western part of Wales and includes loads of natural attractions like Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Folly Farm and more. If you want genuinely stunning beach views and beautiful coastal towns, then this is the place to be. Tenby is the crown jewel in Pembrokeshire’s crown, so make sure you add it to your list of towns to visit.

To tell you the truth, it’s actually very hard whittling down all the UK counties to a top five for natural views. Everywhere offers something stunning for you to stare at or walk around – and we could make an entire list full of honourable mentions. So, as brilliant as these five counties are, you could also add Devon, Cumbria, Northumberland and Oxfordshire to your list.
