What Do All Great Hotels Have In Common?
If you are a keen traveller, you will probably agree that one of the most important parts of the whole experience is the accommodation. There is nothing better than finding yourself in a wonderful hotel, although of course it doesn’t always happen that it turns out to be as good as you’d hope. But when it does, it’s a marvellous experience, and one that you are probably going to want to replicate. Here are some of the features, functions and qualities you can expect pretty much all great hotels to have.
Comfort
First of all, and probably most importantly of all, a hotel should be comfortable. If it is not comfortable, then you are going to find that it’s much less enjoyable to be in, and that is obviously going to mean your travel experience is considerably worse off. Good comfort comes from having a room with a lot of space and size, a bed with great quality hotel bed linen, and other items of furniture which are likewise as comfortable as possible. If you have all of that in place, you will find that your experience is so much more comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable.
Safety & Security
This is such a basic thing that you would not even often think of it. But if it were not there and in place, you would probably feel that your experience was a lot less enjoyable. At the very least, you wouldn’t be quite as comfortable, and there is nothing quite as bad as not feeling safe when you are sleeping at night. So when you are looking at reviews of hotels, look out for any comments regarding the safety and security of the place. You’ll probably find that this is going to be a reliable indicator of the quality of the hotel overall.
Good Internet Connectivity
Something that was once a rare luxury is now thought of by most of us as an essential: your hotel should certainly be providing you with good internet connectivity, which means that it is fast and reliable, and ideally included in the price of the room. For more budget-end hotels, you might sometimes have to pay an extra fee for 24 hours of internet access, but this should not happen in anything above a three star hotel. And at the very least, the quality of the connection should be as strong as possible.
Cleanliness
Take a look at the bathroom next time you are in a hotel room. It should be spotless. If it isn’t, this is something you are well within your rights to complain about, because you really need to make sure that you are as salubrious as possible. It’s also just an aesthetically important thing, because it’s vital that your hotel room is as clean as you would hope. So make sure that you are thinking about looking into this when you are choosing hotels. It’s going to make a huge difference to your experience of staying in that hotel every single time.
